Hi Reader! Chris, Tony (my adorable orange taby), and I are preparing to move back down to New Mexico later this year and we have A LOT to do. We’ll be renting our house out, so we have some repairs/renovations to take care of first, which means we’ve already started going through and packing up some of our stuff (or should I say Chris has started). While I truly appreciate his enthusiasm and wanting to be prepared, it also means we’re living in a little more chaos than I typically like. And this means supporting my nervous system in other ways is that much more important right now. Being told your morning and evening routines can make or break your gut probably sounds like a bunch of BS – trust me, I get it. But having simple, but supportive strategies that help pull you out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and digest” is the difference between only feeling better while following that strict low FODMAP diet and relief that actually lasts. Today I want to share some of the behind-the-scenes on why it works, plus my AM and PM go-to’s. Let’s get into it! Announcements:
Have you ever noticed that your gut feels calmer when life feels calmer and completely unravels when your schedule does? One missed meal, a few late nights, or a hectic workweek and suddenly the bloating, reflux, or constipation comes flooding back. If that sounds familiar, this isn’t a willpower issue or a sign that you need a new food plan. It’s because your body is lacking safety and consistency. Your digestive system needs predictability to thrive. When meals, sleep, and daily habits are all over the place, your body stays in a stress response that makes proper digestion nearly impossible. Motility slows, stomach acid, bile and enzymes struggle, and your gut becomes more and more reactive. Over time, this kind of internal chaos creates the perfect conditions for problems like persistent bloating, IBS flares, and recurring SIBO Some common signs your gut needs a routine reset:
The good news is this doesn’t require a rigid, high-maintenance routine. Small anchors, like eating within an hour of waking, eating consistently throughout the day, and a short wind-down routine at night, will lead to noticeable symptom relief before labs or supplements even come into play. I break down my exact morning and bedtime routines, plus how to build one that works for you, in this blog post: My Go-To Morning and Bedtime Routines for Better Digestion. And this is exactly how I support clients inside Heal Your Gut Blueprint. We build realistic routines that fit your real life so when you finally start addressing the overgrowth, the relief will actually stick.

Helping you break up with bloating, constipation, and SIBO without restriction. My weekly newsletter dishes out simple, science-backed gut fixes so you can eat, travel, and live without your digestion calling the shots.
Can I ask you something kind of personal, Reader? How much time do you spend thinking about your digestion? If the answer is "more than I'd like to admit," you're not alone. So many women I talk to say that managing their symptoms is basically a full-time job. They’re constantly left wondering why nothing is working. Planning their mornings, their meals, their outfits around what their stomach might decide to do that day. And quietly canceling plans because they just can't risk it. That's not...
Hi Reader, Today we're getting a little more personal because I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on my life and healing journey lately and I’m seeing a lot of similarities in my clients’ journeys, so there's a high chance you’re experiencing some of these things as well. We want to be told our root cause fits into this nice little box, so we can follow a protocol and BOOM it’s fixed (I know I felt that way for a long time). But 99.99999% of the time, it doesn’t work like that, which can be a...
