Today I want to walk you through my client's GI MAP results and show you exactly how they connect to the symptoms she's been living with every day. Then next week I'll break down the step-by-step plan we're using to fix the root causes, so she can be fully present and actually enjoy her trips to Turks and Caicos and Hawaii this summer. ποΈ Let's get into it! π£ Announcement July coaching spots are officially openβ¦ and I'm down to only 2 openings left! If you're dealing with constant bloat, unpredictable bowel movements, or a fresh SIBO diagnosis and you're ready to invest in a plan that actually fixes the root cause, it sounds like you might be in the market for a Summer Gut Glow Up. βLearn more and book a free gut clarity call here so we can figure out what's keeping your gut stuck and map out your next steps together. This client is a business owner in her early 30s who grew up as a competitive athlete. She's taken her health very seriously for most of her life, but no matter what she tried, she couldn't stabilize her bowel movements or get rid of her bloating. When we first met, she was convinced she had SIBO because that's what her previous practitioner had told her. Here's what her GI MAP actually showed us, Reader. Her "bad" bacterial overgrowth was minimal. The GI MAP doesn't officially diagnose SIBO, but it does give us a clear picture of the bacterial landscape in the large intestine, which is where SIBO bacteria originate. Based on these results, we can safely rule SIBO out as the culprit here. So what does explain her bloating and unpredictable bowels? β Secretory IgA is essentially a measure of your gut's immune function and hers was running on empty. This is very likely connected to the long history of elimination diets she'd been on and the fear she'd developed around eating in general. Here's the chain reaction: the more foods you cut out, the less you eat. The less you eat, the fewer resources your body has to fuel everything it needs to do to keep you alive. And when supplies are low, digestion is not a priority. An exhausted gut immune system leads to food sensitivities β bloating no matter what you eat or drink, unpredictable bowel changes, the works. Think of sIgA molecules as the bouncers at the door. Right now, they're severely understaffed. Without enough manpower to distinguish between what's safe (nutrients) and what's dangerous (pathogens), they err on the side of caution and react to almost everything, triggering symptoms in the process. β This explained why her bloating got even worse when she tried to increase her fiber intake with foods like beans and broccoli. Without adequate digestive enzymes, her body simply wasn't equipped to break those foods down properly. β β β β

Hi Reader! I recently got back from a trip to New York. Most of the time was spent with family about an hour north of the city at our annual family reunion pig roast β yes, a full pig roast (see photos below), it's as chaotic and wonderful as it sounds β but my husband and I were able to sneak into the city for a couple of days on our own. NYC is one of my favorite places in the world. I've been visiting my grandparents there once a year since I was five years old and have been daydreaming...
After working with over 80 women through their gut healing journeys, I've started to notice a clear pattern. The clients who get the biggest transformations (the ones who go from unbuttoning their pants by 3pm and planning trips around bathroom access to eating ice cream with their kids without a second thought) aren't necessarily the ones doing the most. They're the ones doing the right things, consistently and strategically. And here's exactly what that looks like, Reader. 6 Things That...
What if I told you, it might not be SIBO. And honestly, Reader, even if it is, jumping straight to antimicrobials without understanding why the overgrowth developed in the first place is exactly why so many women end up right back where they started six months later. I know that's not what Google told you and it's probably not what your naturopath told you either. But it's what I see over and over again, and it's exactly what happened with one of my recent clients β I'll call her Chloe. Chloe...
