I’m putting together a free mini-training to help you finally get clarity on what’s keeping you stuck with bloating, food sensitivities, and gut symptoms that just won’t budge. I’ve got a few topic ideas in mind — but I want to know what YOU most want to learn about. Now let me guess, Reader, you’ve been told that going gluten-free is the magic fix for your gut issues. I was told the same thing. Years ago, a naturopath diagnosed me with SIBO and immediately recommended I cut out gluten. No testing, no conversation about my specific symptoms, no deeper investigation – just a blanket recommendation he seemed to give everyone. So I did it. I went all in – strict gluten-free diet, a Specific Carbohydrate Diet, rounds of antimicrobials…the whole nine yards. And to be fair, I felt a little better. But not enough. I still needed daily laxatives just to have a bowel movement, and I was using intense cardio to keep things moving. Fast forward 5 years. I was still gluten-free, still doing all the “right things,” but my symptoms were creeping back in. The bloating. The gas. The incomplete poops. I was doing everything “perfectly”...and yet still relying on Swiss Kriss to have unsatisfying BMs every couple of days. That’s when I swallowed a hard pill: maybe it wasn’t just about removing gluten. So I stopped. I ditched the dogmatic restrictions and focused on understanding my body. I ran a GI MAP test for the first time, supported stomach acid and bile flow, used targeted probiotics and fiber to build back up the good gut bugs, and prioritized making my body (and mind) feel safe and regulated. Within 6 months, I felt 90% better – complete daily poops (with no laxatives!), flat stomach, eating what my husband ate without fear. I was on top of the world! But after about a year, a few symptoms started to creep back in (incomplete emptying and floating orangey stools). I didn’t panic because I knew having a melt down would only make things worse – I reran the GI MAP. This is when the gluten sensitivity showed up loud and clear – elevated gluten markers, signs of fat malabsorption, candida, gut lining damage. But instead of feeling like I was starting from scratch, I used this data to fine-tune my support plan. I’d done it before, and I knew I could do it again. And within 4 months, I was back to thriving. Here’s what I learned: If you are sensitive to gluten, just cutting it out of your diet isn’t enough. You have to rebuild what was damaged – your gut lining, your enzymes, your ability to digest fats, your good gut bugs. The other piece no one talks about? Not everyone needs to cut out gluten – and without testing, you’re just guessing. I spent years avoiding it based on a generic recommendation, and it didn’t actually address the root of my symptoms. Testing like the GI MAP gave me real answers. It helped me understand why I was still bloated, gassy, and backed up even on a gluten-free diet. And later, it helped confirm when gluten was playing a role in my symptoms – so I could take targeted steps to heal instead of guessing or staying stuck in restriction forever. If you’ve been gluten-free for years but still feel bloated, gassy, or stuck on laxatives – it’s because you haven’t been given the full picture. If this resonates, reply and let me know – I’d love to hear your story. 🥰

Hi Reader! Chris, Tony (my adorable orange taby), and I are preparing to move back down to New Mexico later this year and we have A LOT to do. We’ll be renting our house out, so we have some repairs/renovations to take care of first, which means we’ve already started going through and packing up some of our stuff (or should I say Chris has started). While I truly appreciate his enthusiasm and wanting to be prepared, it also means we’re living in a little more chaos than I typically like. And...
My client Nina is a post-menopausal woman who was first diagnosed with SIBO two years ago. Since then, she’d worked with multiple functional nutritionists who hyper-focused on clearing the overgrown bacteria. She cut out gluten, soy, garlic, onions, and sugar. She did antibiotics. She even did the Elemental Diet – which left her starving and miserable for three weeks. And yet…relief only lasted 1-2 months at best. When we first met, she was still dealing with excessive, room-clearing gas,...
Welcome to 2026! After completing the Year in Review exercise for myself (I sent out my favorite reflection exercise on 12/21. If you missed it and are interested, hit reply and I’ll send it to you personally ☺️) I realized that 2025 was one of the best years I’ve had in a while. Not because anything really huge happened, but because I finally feel in alignment with the direction my life and business are heading and I am soooo excited to see how this next year unfolds! I am so grateful to...
